I am excited to have been invited and accepted to participate in CAVA’s (Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists) Invitational Art show at Uncommon Ground. Lakeview location.
I have three acrylic mixed media pieces titled Naturally Zen No. 1, Naturally Zen No. 2 and Naturally Zen No. 3 exhibiting and available to purchase. Each one measures 6” x 8” x 2” and wired to hang.
This venue is well known for satiating all your senses and for their socially conscious community support. This Eat, Drink, Look, Listen environment has great food, beverages, ART, and live music. Brunch, Lunch, Dinner is available daily and they are most proud to be the Home of GREENSTAR BREWING The 1st Certified Organic Brewery in Illinois!

I am thrilled to say that my piece “Dare to Say It. Let it Go. Let it Be” was juried into the Chicago Aliiance of Visual Artists’ Later Impressions Exhibit at the Evanston Art Center. All artworks had to have be created 2020 and after for consideration.
This mixed media piece uses iconic imagery and blue kyanite crystal to give the painting it full meaning. Guanyin: Buddhist Bodhisattva, Goddess of Mercy and Compassion; she hears the cries of the suffering; bringing calm and emotional healing to an unfolding heart.
Blue Kyanite: opens the throat chakra encouraging communication and self-expression. It cut through fears and blockages, helping to speak your personal truth, feel heard and achieve your fullest potential, inspiring loyalty and fair treatment to others.

I am so excited to be exhibiting in this show with my piece titled “Sanctuary.” My very first venture into the aviary home market. An artisan from PA handmade this quality birdhouse using maple/ poplar/pine wood and is designed specifically for wrens.
I let my self-expression go on this one. Very eclectic and definitely OOAK. So much fun creating Every side is eclectically hand painted with vibrant colors and textures. Acrylic, mixed media sealed with a non-toxic gloss varnish to bring out the color and protect the wood.
“Sanctuary” is on the market starting August 5th through September 3. It is available to purchase through the gallery. D-hooks are on the back to hang on wall or wire loop on roof to hang. The number at the August House Chicago Gallery is 773-327-5644. Augusthouse@sbcglobal.net
